I’ve been asked quite a few times how I get so much done in such a short amount of time while still producing work that’s 100% top-notch.
My secret?
It’s not really a secret. I just read a lot!
Below is my list of books that everyone should read.
7 Habits Of Highly Effective People
The 7 habits of highly effective people give you the tools and basis for what I describe as being as close to a “perfect” person as you can be. It goes over how to change your mindset, how to think about value from a different perspective, and how to work with others in a highly effective manner.
Deep Work
Have you ever felt yourself just… consumed by Slack? By email? By thoughts in your mind that literally server no purpose other than to irritate and/or distract you? Deep Work helps you fix that by providing key analysis and tools on how to think properly from a depth perspective.
The Practicing Mind
As humans, we’re always thinking about the future, the past, what happened 1 year ago, or 5 years ago, or what’s going to happen in 1 or 5 years. Very rarely are we actually present. Whether we’re in our phones doom scrolling or thinking about a situation that hasn’t occurred yet. Being in the present and staying truly focused on what’s in front of you has become an impeccable skill. The Practicing Mind teaches you how to regain consciousness.
Atomic Habits
Building a habit is incredibly easy! I mean, think about it. Reaching for that donut or ice cream after dinner every night. Not going to the gym and instead watching TV. Going on Tik Tok instead of working. Well, yeah, building habits are easy… but are those the habits that you want? Atomic Habits teach you essentially how to be just a little bit better every day. I’m not even saying a 1% difference. I’m saying a fraction of 1% every single day can do wonders for your future.
So Good They Can’t Ignore You
To wrap up this post, I give you the golden nugget. So Good They Can’t Ignore You goes into how to build a career that will last a lifetime. Seriously, if you go through this book, I can almost guarantee you that even if something catastrophic like a layoff occurs, you’ll be back on your feet in no time. Be so undeniably good at something that no one can ignore you.
Other than the book link, here’s a YouTube video that should put the motivation of this book in light.
